Horizon Local Body Dues

Oasis Dues

The members of Horizon support the work of the Oasis through regular payment of dues. Dues pay for our temple rent and utilities, for equipment maintenance and upgrades, and other miscellaneous expenses. Details of all our expenses and income can be found on the Treasury page.

Membership dues are on a sliding scale, suggested at 1% of each member's income. Members determine their own contribution level; the Oasis doesn’t try to verify income. The important thing is to pay dues on a regular basis, at the level you can afford.

Dues can be paid yearly or monthly. The best way is to set up a PayPal subscription – subscriptions can be created using the buttons on the right or at the PayPal site (paypal.com). Individual payments can also be sent using PayPal. Dues payments should be sent to horizon@seattle-oto.org.

If you prefer, you can send your dues by mail:

Horizon Oasis
PO Box 95183
Seattle, WA 98145-2183

Or give them to the treasurer in person. Checks should be made out to Horizon Oasis.

Dues Waivers

Members who are unable to pay their local dues should make arrangements with the Master of the Oasis to waive or reduce their dues according to their circumstances.

Dues Lapsed Status

The Oasis defines “dues lapsed” as failing to remain current in payment of Oasis dues for two or more consecutive months without making other arrangements, such as requesting a dues waiver.

The Master of the Oasis may suspend the Oasis membership of any Oasis member who becomes dues lapsed. Members who become dues lapsed can reinstate their dues current status by paying dues for the current month and remaining current thereafter. The Oasis does not require payment of back dues.
