HCM follow up, Growing the Community – assigning duties

• Horizon info in Widdershins – Autumn is investigating- info is in Widdershins calendar
• Flyers – nice glossy flyers to post in EoC and other business -  Karina volunteered

• Qtr Bills – with nice artwork on front and contact info on back – Melissa is making
• Business cards – essentially nice, small items people can take with them – Shellay has made
• Advertise in the Sinner - $50/month  - too expensive
• Bookmarks for EoC – already cleared with Robert, should be laminated – Onyieh to make
• Newsletter – Autumn’s idea – not ready at this time.

• Meet once a month at a Coffee Shop for new people that are interested – who to head up???  Needs to be someone with can discuss the OTO with clarity and is out going.

• Seapagan – not sure if still active – need to investigate – mailing list is still active  - who can volunteer to post Horizon events?

• Mass Days – need to be more welcoming – all of us

• ‘Outreach Officer’ someone who is a designated as Greeter for both QAMT and EoC masses. 

• Everyone should be more aware of new people attending – introducing yourself, getting them a missal and chatting with them a how up at least half an hour before Mass starts, stands by entrance and greets the new folks.  This role can be rotated. Officer can hand out business cards, ask how the person found Mass, etc.
• Possible second event with social time in between in order to get to know the new people – hard to do with cleaning parties.

• Web – Internet ideas - spam other yahoogroups. Send out more regular emails with Horizon calendar URL, mentioning website.
• Advertising to other OTO bodies, and visiting other local bodies
• Better advertisements – creating advertisement pages for bigger events to send out as links, have on Horizon website and print as flyers to post. – have done for CIT and plan to do for other events, Laurie and Shellay as the artists.
• Social nights -  movies, bowling, pool, bbqs

• 3/12/05 – CPR/First Aid – EoC – 1 to 4pm – Admonishing all Officers (Mass, Horizon and esp. Initiation) to take this class.
• 3/19/05 – Start of Thelemic Holy Season
• 4/08 – 4/10 – Three Days Writing
  • 1^st Day – Al and Rebecca’s, 7pm
  • 2^nd Day – Mass at EoC
  • 3^rd Day – BBQ at Ken and Shellay’s 1pm to 5m
• 2^nd qtr – need to schedule 2^nd EGC Novitiate Training
• Solstice BBQ – Courtney, Jon and Melissa to host, another day for event than after QAMT mass.

    • Hosting EC members at house – driving them from/to airport and from/to QA – Rebecca volunteered to coordinate
    • Onyieh to meet with Shellay and get more info out to community and start advertisements.

• Start planning Baptisms in advance, as we do with Initiations.
• Melissa to start passing out Mass Guideline document more often esp. to new Children.
