 Membership report (Ken)

Number of dues paying members:  20 current, 5 who have just lapsed at the end of May. 

I will be sending reminders to just lapsed members.  If you’re not sure you’re current, or want to start paying your Horizon dues, see me after the meeting.

Campout (Tom)

Tom Armstrong is organizing a campout the last weekend of July, the 27^th and 28^th.  At Marten Creek Group Camp on the South Fork of the Stilliguamish River, on the Mountain Loop Highway East of Granite Falls.  $10.00 per person, bring your own food and drinks. 

Fishing, huckleberries, possible Saturday night ritual, possible construction of bronze daggers may be included in this event.  Pay through PayPal.  (The address to send PayPal payment to is horizon@seattle-oto.org) Pictures of camping site to be up on the website soon.  Make sure to e-mail Ken to let him know that the Paypal money is for camping trip instead of membership fees.

 

2008 Regional Campout (Melissa)

Regional campout plans

-OR and WA bodies participating, each body given the opportunity to offer classes and such.

-Lewis and Clark or Millersylvania Env. Learning Center.

-projected date 8/12/08, proposal to be completed by August 2007.

 

Classes

Brandy is giving her Women in Thelema workshop in July at EoC.

Singing the pentagram in August, Tom and I will be present.  At EoC.

Open to suggestions for a series type of class.

 

Initiation Officer Training (Courtney)

July 21^st, 3^rd through Minerval.

To train people who want to be supporting officers in initiations.

This is officer training, not initiator training.  Review of blocking, energy, etc.

 

Bylaws

Vote on the bylaws and standing rules.  Show of hands.

Community voted in support.  Bylaws will be sent to GL.

 

Temple Committee Report (Jon)

The space!

We will be forming committees to fix up the space-let us know if you’d like to be part of this.

-Location:  Capitol Hill, on 10^th between Pike and Union.

-Take possession 7/1/07.

-Need to do:  plan what to build, get community feedback

-Possibility of meeting in space on 7/1 as soon as we have keys, TBD.

-not much storage space

-Trifold display walls (Doug)

-Common area/kitchen (possibility of potluck events with other groups)

-Decorating committee suggested (Shellay)

-Hole in wall between our space and akido dojo space will need to be fixed.

-Long term plans for space?

-Need for dedicating ceremony (Melissa)
