On July 1st, 2007, Horizon began renting dedicated temple space in Seattle! Our member's and associate's willingness to step forward and support Horizon Oasis with their dues has made this possible. Thank you all so much. The temple is on Capitol Hill, on 10th Ave between Pike and Union. Take the door on your right as you enter the building, and go down the ramp; you’ll see Horizon signs that will direct you to the temple.

The temple is available without cost for any and all Horizon-related events, including public performances of the Gnostic Mass, initiations, classes, workshops, public rituals, plays, community meetings and socials, fundraisers, etc. Members are encouraged to contribute to the community by organizing events.
Members of upcoming mass and initiation teams can rehearse at the temple. Being able to schedule one rehearsal date per mass or initiation is guaranteed, additional rehearsal dates may depend on availability.
Other OTO bodies may ask to use the temple at no cost for OTO events, these requests will be honored whenever possible.
Additionally, members can ask to use the temple for special occasions such as weddings, celebrations of Feasts for Life or Greater Feasts, etc, at no cost. Personal special occasions can be invitation only. These requests will be honored whenever possible.
We allow rental of the temple by members and by groups that at least one of our members belongs to. Groups that have no Horizon members can ask to rent the temple, which we will consider on a case by case basis.
The temple must be rented in order to use it for non-Horizon/OTO events. Personal ritual work, private rituals, and most invitation-only events are occasions for which the temple must be rented.
$10.00 an hour with a 4 hour minimum.
Events that charge admission may prefer to rent the temple for a percentage of event profits rather than a set rate; this will be decided on an individual basis. To arrange temple rental email horizon 'at' seattle-oto.org or talk to the body master .
All events, including free rentals and practices, must be scheduled; events are confirmed when they appear on the online calendar. This keeps us from accidentally double booking the temple. Questions and requests should be sent to horizon 'at' seattle-oto.org.
All officers and deputies have keys to the temple. Members who need to drop things off, pick things up etc don’t need to reserve the temple but should make certain the temple is not reserved. Never walk in on an event. Members who are doing temple upgrades, fixing or making temple equipment, cleaning etc should reserve time for this, to avoid conflicts.
A list of “Guidelines for Using the Temple” is posted in the temple, failure to follow these guidelines will mean you can’t reserve the temple in the future.
