Initiation into Ordo Templi Orientis
Horizon offers the opportunity to take a profound, transformative journey through the initiation rituals of Ordo Templi Orientis.
Written by Aleister Crowley, the initiation rituals of OTO are modeled on those of Freemasonry and the ancient mystery schools. The purpose of these secret ancient rites was to introduce a single individual to a single deity. Our initiations are similar in some respects to those ancient rites. They are secret, and they seek to instruct through symbol and allegory. But they differ from them in one important respect.
In the initiation rituals of OTO, the god or goddess the candidate is introduced to is none other than themselves.
“[The OTO seeks] to instruct the individual by allegory and symbol in the profound mysteries of birth, life and death, and thereby to assist him to discover the true nature of his purpose in life”
—Aleister Crowley
